We had a fantastic lunch at La Brasserie des Flâneurs, located within the beautiful grounds of La Nauve, Hôtel & Jardin just outside Cognac. • From the moment we arrived, the setting stood out. The property is stunning, with elegant renovations, lush gardens, and a peaceful atmosphere that immediately makes you slow down and enjoy the experience. What makes it even more special is that the brasserie is set within the former estate of Hardy Cognac distillery, adding a rich sense of history to the surroundings. Being part of the Relais & Châteaux collection really shows in the attention to detail throughout. • The cuisine was equally impressive. A refined take on traditional French dishes, with seasonal ingredients and thoughtful execution. Every plate was well balanced, and the sauces in particular were exceptional. The confit de cochon croustillant and the pintade dishes were highlights, and even as someone who does not usually go for dessert, the pavlova with rhubarb and strawberries was absolutely worth it. • Service was warm, attentive, and seamless. We were looked after by several team members, all professional and genuinely welcoming, which made the experience feel relaxed yet elevated. • After lunch, we took time to walk the grounds, with its fountains, gardens, and greenhouses. It truly feels like a hidden gem. • Overall, a memorable experience that perfectly combines setting, cuisine, service, and history. Highly recommended if you are in the Cognac region.
