Markets

City of Bordeaux Markets - every day of the week

Go where the caterers and restauranteurs find the freshest and unusual produce, organic fare, regional and international delicacies. Mingle with the locals,  mill through flea market piles, discover quirky or elegant fashion accessories. And remember, markets usually have interesting and well priced places to eat. The City of Bordeaux has over 20 markets and on any given day of the week there’s a market to delight you with some special treasure! Bordeaux markets are your sources for special gifts not only at Christmas time but throughout the year. Be prepared to go early, especially on Saturday to a market like Saint Michel or on Sunday to the best answer to brunch -The Quai des Chartrons Market. Some markets open at 5am and most close by 1pm (13:00h). Trams are highly recommended to alleviate parking frustrations in these busy areas and stops are usually within easy walking distance. Bon apetite!
