Called a rebel and one of the leading 'Garagistes' of the 1990's in Bordeaux ,John Maltus has changed wine practice here and created seriously fine wines. Château Teyssier has grown to 52 hectares and with a production to 300,000 bottles a year and there is no question that John Maltus succeded in making some terrific, though at times pricey wines and added to the history of Bordeaux excellence. The wines are intense and full bodied with a taste that commands the high prices. There are several wines under this umbrella.The wines are:Le Dôme,Les Astéries,Le Carré,Château Laforge, Château Grand Destieu, Château Teyssier, Clos Nardian and Pezat.
