Along with Chateau Ausone, Chateaux Cheval Blanc is one of only two to have the highest rank of Premier Grand Cru Classé (A). It's signature wine is Chateaux Cheval Blanc and it's second is called Le Petit Cheval.
Producing only red wines Château Cheval Blanc is hands down one of the real icons of all Bordeaux wines and as such comes with iconic prices. It is remarkably distinctive being right on the Pomerol border and in Saint-Emilion. Chateaux Cheval Blanc is also very close to the fabulous Château L'Evengile and Château La Conseillante. Truly one of Bordeaux's most profound red wines, Chateau Cheval Blanc is delicious when first bottled and has an exceptional aging ability. The wines are 57% Cabernet Franc and the rest 39% Merlot with a dash of Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec.
