Time and Electricity

Bordeaux Time Zone

All of France is in the Central European Time zone (CET) or, Greenwich Mean Time plus one hour (GMT + 1).

During Summer Time, or Daylight Saving Time (DST), add one hour (GMT +2). The change to Summer Time (l’heure d’ete) takes place on the last Sunday in March and to winter time (l’heure d’hiver) on the last Sunday in October.

France uses the 24 hour clock which is particularly important for train and plane schedules. If you are used to times using AM and PM, just add 12 to PM times to convert to the 24 hour clock. For example, 10:30PM would be 22.30 hr.
