As two vegetarians, and despite the menu being without a specific vegetarian option, our great waitress - Toscane - was really quick to help us take advantage of the lunchtime menu, offering perfect alternatives that could be accommodated. Starting with a glass of Lillet - the local aperitif wine - and with a very pleasant view looking out over Place de la Comédie - we felt very relaxed and welcome in the lustrous surroundings. The food was, as can be expected, simply delicious, and the portions just right for us. For dessert, we opted for the blueberry chocolate ganache and raspberry vanilla compote - both of which offered a light touch of freshness to conclude our meal. Overall, a very enjoyable afternoon, and thanks again to Toscane for her presence, guidance and consideration.
A very old French restaurant located right best the Opera is believed to have started in 1850. The structure is still the old one with no major modifications whatsoever. Since this is a heritage property, renovation is not permitted. Unfortunately, due to this, there is no AC which makes the place where hot during summers. Apart from that the food was too notch, tastes exceptionally well. Exceeded my expectations. The service was very delayed due to some reason. The experience is completely worth the money. A must visit restaurant.
Food was very delicious! But the wait time is terrible! Almost one hour between an appetizer and a main course. Even though there are only 2 options in the menu!
Fabulous evening, food was wonderful, best we’ve had in Bordeaux! Pleased we saved this for our last night celebration in Bordeaux, we will return.
