Wonderful and welcoming service. Exceptional explanation of the dishes. Come of the flavours were complex but overall the 6 courses balanced out. Wine was well advised too. Only niggle would be the outdoor diners smoke wafting in to the restaurant.
My sister-in-law used to call my youngest daughter "La Bouche" because she was always hungry. So, of course, I added La Fine Bouche to my itinerary while planning my trip to Bordeaux. And I'm so glad I did! It was an exceptional meal filled with surprising flavors and wonderful wine pairings. In fact, it was the best meal I have ever had in France. Definitely get a reservation then be prepared for an expertly paced culinary experience.
I went for the set lunch and I have to say that it was probably the best meal I had in Bordeaux... and I had a few very good ones. The food was so fresh, beautifully cooked and imaginatively presented. Each course was a delight. It's a lovely spot and the staff were very friendly and helpful, explaining what was what. And for just 28 euros you'll struggle to find better value anywhere in the city.
Absolutely fantastic restaurant with the true excellence of service by Pierre and team and wonderful food by Chef. Hidden Gem in Bordeaux indeed.
