The Mestreguilhem family originally acquired the estate in 1929 and have since added Château Joinin and Château Pindefleurs, also a Grand Cru château to create Château Pipeau.

Château Pipeau vines are now nearly 50 years old on average and are the fruit of the work of three generations of the Mestreguilhem family. A devoted family of wine makers has produced grapes and wines of an exceptional quality . This family recognizes that wine-making is a marriage between technical evolution and the art acquired and handed down from vintage to vintage.

Château Pipeau can be a moderately-priced entry into a good Bordeaux.

Tours are available by appointment from 9 to 12 and from 14:00 to 17:00.
