Reviews
When entering the street, I thought I took a wrong turn, but when seeing the restaurant through the window it wa clear I was in the right spot. Beautiful small, classic and bright restaurant with a simple looking open kitchen and beautiful tree-wood tables. The choices: 5 or 6 courses and with or without wine pairing, that's it. The food is absolutely beautiful, both in looks and taste. With a very surprising twist (I won't spoil it), good wines and very good staff. If you want a great gastronomic (Micheline star level) experience for a very good price, then restaurant Son should be on your list.
Dining at this restaurant in Bordeaux was a true celebration of taste, artistry, and storytelling. Every dish was not only exquisitely delicious and refined, but also presented with extraordinary creativity and elegance. Each course came with its own story, its own mystery, and its own secret, which made the entire experience feel immersive and unforgettable. The final masterpiece was a dessert inspired by Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker ballet — a magical and poetic ending to an exceptional culinary journey. The attention to detail, imagination, and passion behind every element of the menu were simply remarkable. On top of that, the service was absolutely flawless: attentive, sophisticated, and perfectly balanced throughout the evening. This was not just dinner, but a complete sensory experience that we will remember for a very long time.
We went for the six course sampling menu with wine pairings and it was a delightful and innovative curated experience, full of flavour and the occasional surprise! A brilliant way to kick off a weekend of culture in Bordeaux
We had a wonderful evening enjoying incredibly creative cuisine. It felt almost like being at the theater—the food was so beautiful, thoughtfully orchestrated, and exquisitely presented. Regards to the chef and the team. Highly recommend.
If I could award ten stars I would! This is a Michelin-like experience at about half-price. We really enjoyed EVERY course… and they had small surprises throughout, like eating the ‘paper’ tickets at the start, to having dessert served in a music box. (There’s another but I don’t want to ruin it!) The courses were prepared and presented with care, each one more enjoyable than the last. I highly recommend you take the time and enjoy a dinner here!
