Since July 2006 it is a people magnet centred in front of the Place de la Bourse (Stock Exchange Square) on the left bank of the Garonne River along the Quais de la Douane. This giant rectangle has a surface of area of 5850 square meters and is covered with water of only 2 cm thickness over granite flagstones. An ingenious computerized water system underneath alternates the mirror effect with a two meter high fog effect. Dream of standing in the mist illuminated by the Jardin des Lumieres (Garden of the Lights) on a hot summer evening. What could be more romantic and thoroughly Bordeaux!
