Comfortable room and very clean good vibe
The hotel itself feels a bit dated, even if it's still very pretty. Rooms were very comfortable and nicely appointed. The pool area is basic, but a refreshing option during hot summer months. The water fountains in the hallways are a very nice touch. Breakfast was bare bones, though. Staff was generally not very welcoming, aside from the front desk attendant who checked us in and one I had interacted with prior to check in via email. The rest - at the front desk, the spa, and in the hallways - wouldn't even look up to greet you as you passed by, for example. They really made it feel like a 3-4 star hotel. The location is great if you want to spend time golfing or directly in Médoc. However, if you plan on going to other areas, particularly on the other side of the river (Saint-Émilion, Pomerol), or even Bordeaux, you'll find yourself in the car for at least an hour each way during peak hours. It's far, and only feels farther because of construction on the roads that take you from the hotel to Bordeaux. A huge negative: wifi was super weak, even if slightly better by the room door. All around the hotel the wifi speed was just not that good.
I had the absolute pleasure of dining here with friends back in May, and it was truly an exceptional experience. The food was incredibly delicious, beautifully presented, and paired perfectly with an excellent selection of wine. Beyond the fantastic meal, what really stood out was the service. The staff members were extremely professional, warm, and welcoming throughout the evening. The stunning golf course views just added to the perfect atmosphere. I highly recommend this place and can't wait to visit again!
This is a very nice hotel and the staff are very friendly. Exceptional hospitality and variety food are excellent.
