Bordeaux is world-renowned for its red wines, yet few truly grasp the diversity it offers. In this experience, you’ll learn to taste like a professional while exploring the fundamental differences between the Left Bank and the Right Bank, from the structured, age-worthy Cabernet Sauvignon of the Médoc to the smooth, fruit-forward Merlot of Saint-Émilion. Guided by Cécilia and Mathilde, certified wine experts trained at the Université du Vin, you’ll taste four carefully selected red wines and one mystery glass, each illustrating a different face of Bordeaux. From single-varietal wines that highlight the unique personality of grapes like Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, to elegant blends from familial organic estates and prestigious Grand Crus, you’ll experience the full spectrum, including one mature wine to discover the beauty of aged Bordeaux. The tasting is approachable and designed for both curious beginners and passionate wine lovers. You’ll explore key winemaking choices, such as grape variety, terroir, vinification style, and their impact on aroma, texture, and ageing potential. To enhance the experience, each wine is paired with artisanal charcuterie, thoughtfully selected to complement and elevate the flavors of each glass. You’ll also receive a personal tasting booklet to take home and continue your wine journey. Depending on the season, tastings take place in our stone-built tasting room, in a charming private courtyard, or in the cool ambiance of our underground cellar. Wines tasted are available for purchase on site, perfect to share your discoveries with friends and family. If you are accompanied by people who prefer white wines, we can accommodate you.
