Travel to Saint Emilion, a medieval village classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its natural landscape. Upon arrival, take a guided walking tour through narrow lanes, Romanesque churches, and historic ruins.
Winemaking here dates back to Roman times in the 2nd century. Some estates, like Chateau Bellevue owned by the Angelus winery, still reflect these ancient techniques. The village is named after the 8th-century monk Émilian, who lived in a hermitage carved into the rock.
