Description
Departing from central Bordeaux, this small group tour visits renowned appellations such as Margaux, Saint-Julien, Pauillac, and Saint-Estèphe. You will tour three carefully selected Classified Growth or Cru Bourgeois châteaux, chosen for their quality wines and exceptional settings.
The guided tour covers the estates’ histories, winemaking processes, and techniques, followed by wine tasting sessions. Médoc spans about 5,700 hectares of vineyards producing roughly 300,000 hectoliters of wine annually.
Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot dominate approximately 50% of the vineyards, with Petit Verdot, Malbec, Cabernet Franc, and Carménère also permitted under AOC regulations. After tastings, the tour continues along the castle road to view famous châteaux like Château Margaux, Château Palmer, and Château Pichon Longueville.
