Description
Porte Cailhau, built between 1493 and 1496 to celebrate Charles VIII’s victory, is a 35-meter-high monument combining medieval and Renaissance architecture. Located in Bordeaux’s historic center, it offers access to an exhibition on medieval Bordeaux.
Visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the Garonne River, Pont de Pierre, and the city rooftops from a height of 75 feet. This cultural activity suits solo visitors, families, or groups of friends.
