Description
Begin your bike tour at Place Raymond Colom in Bordeaux’s historic center. After gearing up, the route includes the 13th-century Grosse Cloche, Bordeaux’s oldest gate. You’ll cycle through the Saint-Michel district, known for its local market, and cross the Garonne River via the Pont de Pierre bridge. Along the way, you’ll learn about the city’s history and see the “Port of the Moon” with its 18th-century façade.
The tour continues through Parc des Angéliques before crossing the Jacques Chaban-Delmas Bridge. Explore the Chartrons district, historically linked to Bordeaux’s wine trade and its renowned wine cellars. The route then follows Notre Dame Street to Bordeaux’s Public Gardens and passes landmarks including the Quinconces esplanade with the Girondins monument, the Triangle d’Or, City Hall, and Saint-André Cathedral. The tour finishes with a ride past the Miroir d’eau reflecting pool and Bordeaux’s second oldest city gate, returning to the starting point.
