DescriptionDiscover the wines and scenic waterfront of Bordeaux on an early evening aperitif tasting cruise, and marvel at 18th-century façades, lift bridges, and the busy ports of the River Garonne along the way. Climb aboard the pleasure boat “Sardane” at La Cité du Vin landing stage (Quai de Bacalan) in the city center. Set sail at 18:45, and cruise by the historic façades of the UNESCO-listed Port de la Lune. Pass under the lift bridge of Pont Jacques-Chaban-Delmas, and continue past the Pont d’Aquitaine. Once you have sailed past the village of Lormont, the boat will turn around and cruise back to the city center from the port zone of Bassens. Along the way, taste different wines representative of the regional vineyards of Bordeaux, all served with typical aperitifs of regional tapas, cheeses and charcuterie. Learn the history of Bordeaux and its river and wine trade. Then, return to the quay at La Cité du Vin for an approximate 20:30 disembarkation.
