Located in a former World War II submarine base, Les Bassins des Lumières is the world's largest digital art center. It presents monumental immersive exhibitions that celebrate both historical and contemporary artists.
The latest exhibition, 'Matisse, the Symphony of Colors', offers visitors a fully immersive experience combining lights, shapes, and music to explore Matisse's artistic universe. The experience follows his evolution from vibrant interiors inspired by Nice to his later cut-outs, highlighting his freedom of gesture and use of color, accompanied by a soundtrack blending classical and contemporary music. Portions of the experience include a French voiceover.
Following this, the short program 'Frida Kahlo, en plein cœur' invites visitors to engage with the intimate and creative world of the Mexican artist, expressed through vivid colors, symbols, and emotions.
