Description

Set off from Bordeaux for a day of nature, gastronomy, and incredible landscapes on the Cap Ferret peninsula, in the north of the Arcachon Bay. We'll leave at 9 a.m. directly from your accommodation in Bordeaux. You'll be comfortably seated in a hybrid car, and off you go on a beautiful private getaway, full of discoveries in this little corner of paradise—just for you and your group (1 to 4 people max, no other participants). First stop: a walk through a forest of pine trees and dunes to the ocean. You'll see the longest white sand beach in Europe, with a wild and spectacular atmosphere. We'll also see a World War II bunker hidden in the sand. Next, we'll head to L'Herbe, a typical oyster farming village with colorful wooden huts and sandy streets. It's pedestrianized, quiet, and full of charm. You'll discover an amazing Moorish chapel, learn about the history of the place and oyster farming... and of course, you'll have free time for lunch (not included) to taste oysters, shrimp, pâtés, and white wine facing the Dune du Pilat. Then we'll take a sweet break (not included) at a local artisan's shop to taste a pastry created here—the dune blanche. We'll take it with us to a secret spot with an incredible view of the Bay, Île aux Oiseaux, and the cabanes tchanquées. A typical gourmet break and beautiful photos guaranteed! We return to your accommodation in Bordeaux around 3:30 p.m. Throughout the day, I adapt to your pace and your desires. You're on vacation, it's a change of scenery just for you.
