Continue to the Winter City of Arcachon for lunch, and admire the typical 19th-century homes, especially around Mauresque Park. Stroll along the boardwalk to Thiers Pier and get lovely views of the fishing boats off the coast. See the sandy beaches of Pereire and Moulleau as you make your way towards Pilat Dune. Get panoramic views of Arcachon Bay and its natural attractions, such as the Banc D'Arguin, the remains of a lagoon now open to the ocean and used for oyster farming. Gaze at the iconic tchanquée huts on the île aux Oiseaux and see the tip of Cap Ferret framed by a pine forest slowly being swallowed up by the dunes.
