Entre-deux-Mers

Appelations (AOC) of Entre-Deux Mers are Bordeaux, Bordeaux Supérieur, Graves-de-Vayres, Saint-Foy-Bordeaux, Entre-Deux-Mers, Bordeaux Haut-Benauge, Cadillac, Côtes de Bordeaux Saint-Macaire, Loupiac, and Sainte-Croix-du-Mont.

The Entre-Deux Mers region is a picturesque area of hills and valleys directly across from the city of Bordeaux and runs south on the right bank of the Garonne. (The Gironde going south becomes the Garonne flowing by the city of Bordeaux) Bike along an ancient railroad line or hike the quiet banks of the Garonne and Dot Rivers to find yourself in the largest of the AOC areas and among masses of planted vines. You’ll find a strong evidence of English history from the Middle Ages in walled towns, Abbeys, châteaux and churches. Entre-Deux-Mers is home to some very popular dry white wines, dessert whites, rosé and reds and surprisingly they are far less expensive than the classified growths. You are guaranteed to find some excellent value in these wines.
